Position Overview

As a Team Leader within the Open Space team, you will be the driving force behind our open space maintenance efforts. Your leadership will ensure that our dedicated team delivers high quality maintenance services across the Shire, all while adhering to safety standards and best practises. This is your chance to make a difference, lead by example, and foster a positive workplace culture.

In this full-time, permanent role, you will oversee various parks operations, including tree maintenance along with bush reserve maintenance, garden care and turf management. Your expertise will guide your team as they work efficiently and effectively to meet the diverse needs of our community.

Your Ideal Profile

We are looking for an enthusiastic leader who is ready to take on the challenge of managing a dynamic team in the great outdoors. If you possess the following qualifications and experience, we encourage you to apply:

  • Certificate 3 in Horticulture or Arboriculture (preferred) or equivalent, White Card, AQF3 / Chemcert (or equivalent), and a MR driver’s licence (or willingness to obtain within 6 months of commencement)
  • Relevant experience in a similar supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of horticultural practises, safety regulations, and customer service
  • Excellent communication and people skills for effective collaboration with team members and the community

  • Package: $76,000 - $85,000 gross p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation (Salary will be determined based on the skills and experience of the successful candidate).
  • Hours of work: Permanent Full Time 38 hours per week 9 day fortnight.
