The Opportunity

As the Team Leader of Programs and Venues at the City of Perth, you will oversee a small team dedicated to promoting and planning the effective delivery of a variety of community programs and venue hire services at the City of Perth Library.

Reporting to the Coordinator Library and Town Hall, your responsibilities would primarily include:

  • Working under limited supervision to oversee the library programming and events;
  • Manage and coordinate the infrastructure, production and systems for the library’s major public programs and events;
  • Lead and manage team members, providing day-to-day supervision, coaching and support;
  • Collaborate and negotiate with a diverse range of customers and stakeholders to manage programs, events, and venue hire bookings; and
  • Investigate, recommend and develop potential programs and partnerships.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will possess:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in venue and event management, or similar;
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service and conflict resolution skills;
  • Experience in leading a small team; and
  • High level of organisational and time management skills.

Eligibility

To be eligible to work for us, you will need to have the ability to:

  • Work evenings and weekends or on call as required;
  • Undertake manual duties at events;
  • Obtain a Working with Children Check;
  • Obtain Responsible Service of Alcohol certification; and
  • Obtain a First Aid Certificate
