Working within a small cohesive team that takes pride in their work, as the Team Leader Property Services, you’ll play an essential, hands-on role in creating a liveable community that is safe and enjoyable for all. You'll make an impact by providing strategic and informed advice whilst working on some unique and diverse property projects that contribute positively to our local community.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Assisting the Manager by providing strategic, and well-informed advice on property-related matters.
  • Supporting opportunities that align with
    the Council’s goals and bring positive benefits.
  • Working on some unique and diverse property and major projects.
  • Running complex property files relating to, for example, easements, road closures, and compulsory land acquisitions to support Council
    objectives.
  • Collaborating and fostering positive relationships with
    internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Leading and mentoring a small team of property professionals.


What you'll bring

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in law, property valuation, or a related discipline, or relevant qualifications with significant relevant experience.
  • High level organisational skills with demonstrated experience in managing multiple property-related files and adhering to deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation, organisational, administrative, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully leading and managing a team.
  • Demonstrated experience in property, particularly in a local government context.
  • A team first attitude, happy to assist other team members with other jobs when required.

We would also love you to have:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of native title.
  • Experience with, and working knowledge of, relevant property-related legislation, including the Native Title Act 1993, Conveyancing Act 1919, and the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $101,700 to $118,192.
