About the role

Inner West Council is currently seeking reliable, motivated and dedicated individuals with great customer service skills to join our diverse and hardworking Resource Recovery Team as a Team Member Loader.

As a valued team member of our Resource Recovery team, you will be responsible for operating a waste compaction vehicle and supervising the staff assigned to the vehicle undertaking day or night shift waste collection services, which includes but is not limited to garbage, recycling, garden organics, clean up and lane cleaning.

Remuneration

$70,889.52 to $77,990.64 + 11.5% superannuation

Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications 

  1. Demonstrated strong customer service focus and being conscientious and reliable.
  2. Demonstrated ability to perform work safely at all times and actively ensuring the safety of your team members and others including the public and community at large.
  3. Available and prepared to work alternative starting times, shifts and service types across two depots. Twenty-four (24) hours’ notice will be given.
  4. Suitable level of fitness relative to position. (See functional requirements and physical attributes listed below)
