The role & you
Come join the team at Gloucester Works Depot!
Do you want to make a real impact and contribute to services that strengthen your local community? We are looking for experienced individuals who have worked in the civil construction industry before to join the team!
Responsible for undertaking manual labouring tasks as well as the opportunity to operate minor plant equipment and truck operations.
You will:
- carry out maintenance and construction duties in relation to roads, bridges and drainage
- perform traffic control duties when required
- comply with environmental requirements and procedures
- hold a Current NSW class C Drivers licence (or higher)
- possess a WorkCover accredited Construction Induction Card (White Card) including a demonstrated sound knowledge of Work, Health and Safety procedures
- hold or be willing to obtain a Current approved Traffic Controller’s Card and Implement Traffic Control Plans Card
- have experience on minor plant equipment (Plant includes: rollers, tractor, slashers, trucks and watercarts)

Please note that to be a successful candidate for this role you’ll be required to complete a pre-employment medical check (this will include a drug and alcohol test, sight and hearing, functional and medical component)
Salary: Commencing salary package range circa $54,280 to $59,710 p.a. plus superannuation. (Dependent on skills and experience.)
Location: Upon commencement your normal place of work will be the MidCoast Council Depot located on Oak Street, Gloucester 2422. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.
Tenure: Permanent, Full Time.
Closing date: Sunday 16 March, 2025 at 11.30 pm.
