About the opportunity

We have an exciting permanent, full-time opportunity for a highly motivated, appropriately qualified and experienced team member to join our Greenspace Services section.

The successful candidate will have the necessary skills and qualifications to undertake the challenging role as a Team Member Rapid Response. You will have the skills to attend to any maintenance issue arising from unforeseen circumstances or unplanned works in the greenspace area. This role will require you to work within a team environment and flexible hours. 

Qualifications and experience

Essential:

• Class MR Drivers Licence
• Extensive experience in maintenance of Open Space areas including sports fields, parks, reserves, gardens.

Desirable:

• RTA approved traffic controller implementation accreditation
• Relevant qualifications
• Chainsaw operation certificate of competence
• RTA approved traffic controller accreditation. 

Remuneration and benefits

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.

• Entry level for this position starts at $1,156.81 per week
• 38-hour working week
• Rostered Day Off (RDO) every fortnight
• Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 11.5% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
