Team Support Officer

 

  • Salary $79,014.00 to $91,655.72 p/a + super 
  • Permanent full time position – 35 hours per week
  • Work from Home (WFH) options / Flexible Working Arrangements

 

About Ku-ring-gai Council

Located 16 km’s north of the Sydney CBD, the Ku-ring-gai area covers 84km2, is home to 124,000 residents and set in one of New South Wales’ most attractive natural environments.

 

Reporting to the Administration Team Leader and PA to Director Strategy & Environment, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing high level administrative and secretarial support to the Manager Environment & Sustainability and staff within the Strategy and Environment Department
  • Preparation and/or co-ordination of correspondence, documentation, memos, requisitions, reports and presentations
  • Providing secretarial support to committees and meetings
  • Electronic filing using Records Manager software
  • Maintenance of various council registers
  • Meeting room set-up and event/catering coordination
  • Managing email in-boxes and event bookings
  • Creating social media and website content
  • Assisting at Council festivals running events and stalls
  • Field work and site visits

 

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business Administration, Environmental Management or a relevant discipline and / or substantial experience in a similar role
  • Current NSW Class C driver’s licence
  • Current first aid certificate
  • Working with Children Check Clearance Number
  • Experience providing high level executive support and administrative services
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficiency in the use of personal computer applications, in particular the Microsoft suite of products (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, TEAMS and PowerPoint) and the ability to learn new software
  • Minimum typing speed of 60wpm
