An opportunity exists for a motivated individual to join our Civil Works Team. This position provides quality service to the Hill’s Shire community. You must have the ability to work as part of a team to complete a variety of tasks associated with the management of public places through routine inspection of infrastructure assets and assist with the resolution of complex customer requests related to civil and park assets.

What this role looks like:
• Carry out inspections of Council’s Infrastructure assets in accordance with Council’s Maintenance Management Plan and Asset Management Plans as scheduled.
• Collect and collate strategic asset data including condition, into Council’s Asset Management System in accordance with Council’s adopted Asset Management Policies, Strategies and Plans.
• Assist in managing customer requests relating to the investigation of public infrastructure assets.
• Installation of safety devices/measures as required to ensure public safety.
• Assist with the investigation of risk issues and insurance claims arising from the condition of Council’s infrastructure assets.
• Assist in the review of guidelines and procedures including the identification of efficiencies within Council’s maintenance activities.
• Provide relevant information and recommendations to other stakeholders including asset owners and project managers when requested.
• Comprehensive and accurate record keeping of inspections, customer requests and safety devices/measures.
What we are seeking in our new team member:
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Asset Management.
• Conduct Operational Inspection of Park Facilities accreditation
• Drivers Licence (Class C)
• First Aid & CPR Accreditation (or willingness to obtain)
• Sound knowledge of WH&S policies and procedures
• Ability to use mobile communication devices, including mobile phones and iPads.

Permanent full-time role; Salary: Up to $83K + Superannuation + To-and-From Council Vehicle.
