Premium Recquatic Membership | 12.5% Superannuation Rostered Day Off (Nine Day Fortnight)

This position is classified as a PACS Band 7 ($88,997 – $97,595. p.a) under the City of Kwinana’s structured remuneration system.

What’s On Offer
An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join the City Operations Team at the City of Kwinana. Reporting to the Coordinator Technical Operations, this position is responsible for the development of the City's parks annual maintenance plans, activity standards, specification development, WHS documentation. As the successful incumbent, you will also coordinate the planning, delivery and reporting of capital projects, works programs and sub-division gifted asset handovers.

In conjunction with the Parks & Natural Areas Team, you will ensure the City's parks assets are sustainably and efficiently maintained and assist in developing long-term financial plans in accordance with the City’s objectives. As our new Technical Officer Parks Operations, you will have the opportunity to utilise your exceptional skills and knowledge to influence the presentation of the City’s parks assets.

What You’ll Need
To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Tertiary qualification in Project Management/ Contract Management/ Horticulture/ Land Management/ Turf/ Irrigation or recognised equivalent.
  • Demonstrated asset maintenance planning experience, including development and delivery of works programs and project plans, contract management and utilising procurement processes.
  • Experience in operational risk management, safety documentation and occupational health and safety legislative requirements.
  • Experience interpreting landscape plans, specifications, maintenance documentation.
  • Advanced computer literacy skills and experience in the use of computerised works planning, spatial data and report writing tools including MS Project, MS Excel, GIS data systems and MS Word.
  • Clearly demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, ability to build and maintain strong relationships and consult with key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Previous local government experience in Technical Operations in parks maintenance.
  • Basic Worksite Traffic Management.
  • Current driver’s licence.
