About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Traffic Engineer to step into a key role within our Infrastructure Operations team. Reporting directly to the Team Leader you will provide expert leadership and specialised knowledge in traffic engineering and design. Your contribution will play a vital role in enhancing our Council's services and making a positive community impact.
The successful applicant will meet the following criteria:
- Degree qualification relevant to the position and/or extensive relevant experience in Traffic Engineering (minimum of 5 years’ experience) and a Valid Drivers Licence
- Demonstrated ability to resolve complex traffic and transport related problems, negotiate viable options with stakeholders and implement preferred solutions
- Proven ability to prepare technically concise reports, letters and e-mails on various operational traffic issues
- Understanding of Local Government legislation, the NSW Roads Act 1993 and the Australian Road Rules
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both in written and oral contexts
- Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively and fairly with internal and external customers
