Title: Traffic Officer, Permanent - Full-time Role, 35 hours per week
Salary Range: $83247.74 to $96747.95 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience)

Transport and Civil Infrastructure is responsible for the provision, management and maintenance of urban infrastructure and the delivery of transport, traffic and urban infrastructure services.
Transport and Civil Infrastructure has both internal and external clients and provides service across a range of functional areas including:
- Traffic and Transport Network Management
- Transport and Civil Infrastructure Asset Management
- Parking Management
- Construction and Maintenance of Civil Infrastructure
- Engineering and Delivery of Capital Works
- Plant, Fleet and Stores Management
- Business Operations

Our opportunity :
The key focus areas of this role include:
- Investigating, resolving and responding to minor traffic management and parking issues on Council’s Local Road Network
- Assessing permit applications and issuing approvals for Traffic Control, Works Zone, Stand Plant and other permit applications
- Preparing and issuing works instructions arising from recommendations of the Local Traffic Committee
- Preparing consultation proposals and traffic committee reports arising from community engagement outcomes
About you :
We’re looking for a young traffic engineer who has recently completed their degree and is wanting to get a start in a career in traffic engineering or someone who has relevant recent experience in a similar role to join our multi disciplinary team of traffic and transport planning professionals You’ll have a positive outlook, be self motivated, have strong communication skills and bring a customer focused attitude to a team passionate about making a difference to our community.
