About the Role

It's an exciting time for Wollondilly with major town centres being planned and built. With growth comes opportunity and Wollondilly Shire Council in partnership with the NSW Government have a Trainee Ranger Services position available forming part of the 'fresh start for local government apprentices, trainees and cadets'. 

The traineeship offers the chance to gain valuable on-the-job experience while completing a Certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Services). Working in a dynamic and supportive team, you will develop skills to investigate complaints regarding non-compliance issues across the Shire and educate the community to help resolve these matters.
 
The successful candidate must demonstrate their competency for the position by meeting the following essential criteria:
  • Commitment to enrolling and undertaking a Certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Services) or equivalent.
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team with a focus on personal safety and the safety of others.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with an array of stakeholders.
  • Time management skills and the ability to plan and prioritise.
  • Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain prior to employment.
