Traineeship Opportunities

Clarence Valley Council is excited to offer two traineeship opportunities.

No experience is necessary.

To be eligible you will be new to the workforce, not yet job ready and be interested developing a career. We are looking for self-motivated team players who are eager to learn. You will combine full-time work with study, while gaining practical experience. Both field based and office based opportunities are on offer where you will develop the skills and knowledge needed to be proficient in your chosen profession. Our staff are keen to share their knowledge with you and support you through your learning experience!

 

Trainee Customer Experience/Rates Officer 

Are you passionate about helping people and providing excellent customer service? Do you enjoy learning new skills and working in a dynamic team environment? Are you detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy and quality in your work?

Our Customer Service and Rates teams play a vital role in supporting the community by providing helpful and efficient assistance across various Council services.

If you're interested in developing a career in customer service, rates and want to gain hands-on experience while learning essential systems and processes, this traineeship is for you!

Over a two-year period, you will undertake a Customer Service and rates traineeship, gaining the necessary qualifications to progress towards a permanent role. Upon successful completion of the traineeship, there will be an opportunity to transition into a permanent Customer Experience Officer or Customer Experience Officer (Rates) position within the Council.

This position is located at Grafton Administration Building.

Trainee Safety and Wellbeing

Want to be part of a team that ensures a safe and healthy work environment for our community? Are you eager to learn and apply new skills? Do you approach work tasks with energy and enthusiasm? Do you pay attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance?

Our Work Safety & Wellbeing (WHS) team plays a crucial role in supporting Council’s operations by maintaining safe work practices and ensuring compliance with WHS regulations. The work we do helps protect our employees, contractors, and the community.

If you have an interest in developing a career in Work Health & Safety and want to work collaboratively to gain hands-on experience while learning the systems and processes, we use, then this traineeship is for you!

Over a two-year period, you will undertake a WHS traineeship, gaining the necessary qualifications to progress towards a permanent role. At the successful completion of the traineeship, there will be an opportunity to transition into a permanent position as a Health and Safety Officer within the Organisational Development Section.

This position is located at our Rushforth Road Depot, South Grafton.
