Working as part of the Tree Management team, your will be provide leadership and direction to the field staff, ensuring tasks are performed safely and to a high standard.

You are qualified and strong experienced in arboriculture and/or horticulture, with a passion for keeping our public open spaces at their best.  Willing to go the extra mile you are a self-starter and able to motivate others to work at their best and assist them in managing their time, as well as your own effectively. Your experience means that you have highly developed knowledge of native fauna and flora and are able to work in an outdoor setting – no matter the weather.  

To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria in your online application:

  • Knowledge of arboriculture principles
  • Extensive experience in tree management activities
  • Experience in the supervision and mentoring of field staff
  • Certificate III in Arboriculture/Horticulture or demonstrated significant relevant workplace experience in a relevant discipline
  • Current ‘MR’ class driver’s licence

This position offers a gross weekly wage of $1,492 which incorporates all allowances and penalty rates, as well as:

  • 11.5% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
