Based at the City’s Works Depot in Crocker Street, Rockingham, you will work in a team and be responsible for undertaking arboriculture maintenance to the City’s trees and vegetation in parks and streetscapes.  Other duties will include planting, mulching, staking, and operating a chainsaw, chipper and elevated work platform.

You will possess excellent team working skills and the ability to operate equipment to perform best practice arboriculture maintenance.

To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria as part of your online application:

  1. Certificate in Arboriculture or Horticulture or relative experience
  2. Current ‘MR’ class driver’s licence
  3. Ability to work and in a team environment and in all kinds of outdoor weather conditions
  4. Well-developed knowledge and application of work health and safety policies and procedures
  5. Demonstrated experience in the Arboriculture or Horticultural industries field including maintenance practices

This position offers a weekly wage of $1,403 (gross) which incorporates all allowances and penalty rates, as well as:

  • 11.5% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
