  • Salary $68,114.80 - $79,012.96 p/a + super
  • Permanent full-time role – 38 hours per week - 9 day fortnight

About the role

Are you passionate about trees and the environment? Do you have a knack for operating heavy machinery?

 

Council is looking for a dedicated Tree Worker/Plant Operator to join our team and make a positive impact on the local community!

 

Reporting to the Streetscape Supervisor, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain and care for the urban tree population through pruning, planting, and removal
  • Safely operate and maintain plant machinery including trucks, chippers, and stump grinders
  • Assist with landscaping and grounds maintenance projects across various locations
  • Work alongside a skilled team to ensure safety and efficiency in all tasks
  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with the public and responding to service requests

 

Required experience & skills

  • Certificate III in Arboriculture or a willingness to undertake training to obtain
  • Experience in tree care, horticulture, or arboriculture
  • Background in operating plant machinery and equipment
  • Knowledge of safe work practices and ability to follow safety procedures
  • First Aid, Traffic Control, Level 1 Chainsaw Operation certificates and MR licence – or a willingness to undertake training to obtain.
