The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a pro-active individual to operate a variety of plant equipment, including tractor/slasher and chainsaws for the primary purpose of maintaining BVSC drainage and vegetation assets and associated infrastructure.
As a Vegetation and Drainage Team Member (Tractor), you will operate and maintain vehicles, plant equipment and tools on vegetation and drainage maintenance tasks as well as ensure plant/vehicle pre-start safety checks are carried out prior to use. You will maintain workplace documentation including (but not limited to) logbooks, records and statistics, timesheets, action requests, records of meetings, incident reports, plant hire sheets and quality assurance records.

About You
We are seeking an individual who holds the following qualifications:
- School Certificate (Year 10) or equivalent
- SafeWork NSW General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- NSW Medium Rigid (MR) licence
- AQF3 Chemical Accreditation
- Chainsaw Certificate (crosscut)
- SafeWork ‘Traffic Controller’ qualification
- SafeWork ‘Implement Traffic Control’ qualification
- HLTAID003 - Provide first aid
You will have the following skills and experience;
- Proven recent vegetation and drainage asset maintenance using tractors/slashers.
- Demonstrated relevant experience in vegetation asset maintenance works which may include but is not limited to: roadside slashing, gravel road shouldering, tree management, chemical spraying and drainage maintenance.
- Experience in operating and using a variety of hand-held power tools which may include but is not limited to: chainsaws, brush cutters, mowers and blowers.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret both paper and electronically based plans and schedules and apply these to work being performed.
Benefits
This is a permanent, full-time position working 38 hours per week.
The total remuneration package for this position commences at $67,975.75 gross per annum, comprising of:
- $1,172.40 per week base salary
- $134.83 per week superannuation (calculated at 11.5%)
