Venue Attendant

The Package: $1,231.78 - $1,361.07 gross per week + 11.5% Super (Evaluated as Grade 6 of the QPRC Salary System 2024) and a guaranteed increase of 3% in 2025-26, plus potential performance-based progression.

Full time – 35 hours per week. Flexible work arrangements may apply.

Are you ready to start your next career opportunity with Queanbeyan’s performing arts team? We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Venue Attendant, operating primarily at The Q and the Bicentennial Hall.

In this role you will:

• Assist in the efficient operation of The Queanbeyan Performing Arts Centre, including event and function setup, basic IT and AV support, and venue upkeep.
• Ensure bar services and catering requirements are set up and stocked appropriately, including monitoring, maintaining and reporting stock levels.
• Provide outstanding customer service to patrons, hirers, and artists, delivering high-quality venue experiences.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has exceptional customer service skills and can confidently liaise with diverse clients and customers.
• Has prior experience in a venue operations, hospitality, events, or customer service.
• Is highly organised, capable of self-managing tasks, setting priorities and maintaining attention to detail.
• Demonstrates effective and inclusive written and oral communication skills.
