ABOUT THE ROLE

Position

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our Water and Wastewater team. This position is responsible for working effectively as part of a team responsible for performing the ongoing cleaning, maintenance and repair of the Council's wastewater pump stations, assets, and infrastructure. The position will perform a range of labouring duties to support the upkeep and operational efficiency of the water and wastewater systems.

To be successful you will bring

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the operations and maintenance of wastewater reticulation networks.
  • Demonstrated experience in and ability to undertake physical labouring duties.
  • Demonstrated digital literacy with experience and competence in computer and device (e.g. tablet, iPhone) applications.
  • Proven good communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Willingness and ability to work on call in accordance with roster requirements.

The rewards

  • A salary range of $55,800 to $64,000 per annum (plus 11.5% superannuation) dependent upon skills and experience.
  • 9 day fortnight wording arrangement. Council is currently trialling a range of flexible working options. Full time field staff will have the option to apply to work a compressed four day work week, subject to operational and team based requirements and approval.
