About the role

Are you looking to kick start or enhance your career in the water and wastewater industry? Are you passionate about positively contributing to the community and playing a key role?

The City of Coffs Harbour is looking for dedicated Water and Sewer Attendants to join a committed, supportive and friendly team. This role involves monitoring and maintaining water quality and wastewater management systems, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include conducting regular inspections, performing routine maintenance, minor construction work, maintaining accurate records within the City's maintenance management system and organising works and reporting as required.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable learning and utilising mobile technology, contribute positively to team morale, and take pride in completing work that is of a high standard and imperative to keeping the Coffs community safe.

About you?

  • Demonstrated experience in the construction, operation, and/or maintenance of water infrastructure, wastewater infrastructure, and/or other relevant infrastructure.
  • National Construction Induction Certificate (White card)
  • Minimum Class C Drivers Licence (and willingness to obtain MR Licence)
  • Confined Space Certificate
  • Working at Heights Certificate
  • Working near overhead powerlines

  • Starting salary at $58,277.21 + 11.5% Superannuation
  • Permanent Full-Time 38 hours per week
