Description

Applications are invited for the position of Water Tanker Operator, based at Council's Inverell Works Centre. The successful applicant shall be one of Council's in-field working operatives, responsible for the satisfactory application of water to road works by tanker.

Essential Criteria:

Qualifications

  • NSW School Certificate or equivalent.
  • NSW Class HR Drivers Licence
  • Traffic Controller Certificate
  • SafeWork NSW General Construction Induction card ('White Card').
  • Work Safely in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker OR equivalent.

Skills and Experience

  • Satisfactory formal training in truck operation OR suitable experience in truck operation including water tanker.

Employment will be in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Local Government (State) Award 2023.  The classification for the position will be up to Operational Band 1, Level 3, Grade 4.  Salary will be in accordance with qualifications and experience, and will be in a range from $1,044.00 to $1,114.75 gross per week.  In addition, a Level 1 Adverse Working Conditions Allowance of $0.498 per hour will be paid where applicable.
