The Team
As part of our award winning People and Culture business unit, the Work Health and Safety (WHS) team are trusted advisors and strategic partners to the business. They are responsible for providing WHS support and advice, and work closely with our people leaders and staff to drive a Safety First Culture. The team is filled with talented and passionate individuals who are committed to working together and with the business to achieve it’s goals and objectives. The Role
This is a key role, instrumental in driving the success of Work Health and Safety across the organisation including the implementation of our WHS Strategy and Safety First Culture. The core focus of the role will manage a portfolio of Workers Compensation claims with the aim to help injured workers' recovery and return to work as quickly and safely as possible.
You will take ownership of continuous improvement strategies and play a pivotal role in improving the effectiveness of Injury Management and WHS across Council. This role will also contribute to the implementation of contemporary safety policies, processes, programs and systems designed to improve performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish strategic Injury Management Plans in collaboration with the injured worker, their employer and health professionals.
- Implementation and ongoing review of Case Management achieving return to work goals.
- Providing exceptional customer service to employees and building meaningful relationships.
- Ongoing review and management of claims in accordance with relevant legislation and guidelines.

- Salary is $87,770.80 - $101,695.64 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation

Who You Are
We’re looking for someone with demonstrated experience in Injury Management WHS, but you’ll also bring a customer focused approach and can-do attitude to engage and influence key stakeholders to champion a Safety-First Culture.
More important than experience, we’re looking for someone with the following characteristics:
