ABOUT THE ROLE
Position
We are looking for an enthusiastic and appropriately experienced individual to support a small team to drive Council's safety culture. Reporting to Council’s Coordinator Work Health and Safety, this position will provide professional advice and assistance to ensure that the organisation understands its legislative responsibilities with regard to workplace health and safety. Key focus areas of the position are to review contractor WHS Management Systems for compliance and support Council’s injury management functions.
- Behaviour that positively demonstrates Council’s values of creative, accessible, respect, energetic and safe.
- Relevant qualifications in Work Health and Safety together with demonstrated experience in supporting an organisation to meet legislative requirements and building and maintaining a strong safety culture.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the development and implementation in WHS policies, procedures, and safe systems of work.
- Demonstrated well developed communication skills.
The rewards
- An annual salary range of $81,800 to $93,900 (plus 11.5% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications.
