The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a pro-active individual to provide direction, control and resources to team members working in an operational, maintenance or minor construction environment.

As a Works Team Leader, you will coordinate and perform general labouring duties necessary to repair, maintain and clean BVSC assets and amenities, including implementing traffic control plans and participating in traffic control. You will operate and control various types of minor plant and equipment during maintenance and construction works, and provide on-the-job instruction to team members in the use and application of a range of plant, equipment and tools.

About You

We are seeking an individual who has completed Year 10 School Certificate or equivalent and has a NSW Medium Rigid (MR) Drivers Licence and a SafeWork NSW General Construction Induction Card (White Card).

You will have the following skills and experience;

  • Knowledge and ability to use plant equipment associated with minor construction activities, which may include but is not limited to: trucks, backhoe, skid steer, loaders, rollers and compressors.
  • Developed skills in the use of a range of hand and power tools, which may include but is not limited to lawn mowers, whipper snippers, chainsaws, concrete cutting saws, concrete vibrators and pumps.
  • Recent work experience in a minor construction and maintenance task-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a small team.

Benefits

This is a permanent full-time position working 38 hours per week.

The total remuneration package for this position commences at $80,922.69 gross per annum, comprising of:

  • $1,395.70 per week base salary
  • $160.51 per week superannuation (calculated at 11.5%)
