YOUR ROLE
Are you looking to kick start your career working toward becoming trade qualified in the civil construction industry? This is your opportunity to become an integral member of Council’s works team, and to earn while you learn!
As the Works Trainee, you will work within a supportive environment, whilst acquiring the knowledge, skills and competence to complete your traineeship.
This is a one-year traineeship, commencing in early 2025.
YOUR TRAINEESHIP
As part of your traineeship, you will:
- Complete a Certificate II in Civil Construction
- gain hands on experience to develop vital skills and knowledge to ensure successful completion of the Certificate II
- work in a supportive environment to assist you to reach your career goals
- have access to e-learning platforms and ongoing training and support through Council’s cultural development program
YOUR WORKING ENVIRONMENT
During your traineeship, you will have access to:
- a weekly salary of $920.10, plus 11.5% superannuation
- a 38 hour week, working a 9 day fortnight
- 3 weeks sick leave per year
